Family Camp
Our first ever family camp was held at Tawd Vale in August. 13 families camped, 4 families visited for the day, 80 people over the weekend. Activities included canoeing, kayaking, orienteering, fire lighting and cooking twists, BBQ campfire and Scouts’ Own. A great weekend.
Some of the activities undertaken between January to July 2011:
January – Moonlight – a cross country hike with catchers. Three teams entered from the 9th and came 17th, 28th and 32nd out of 91 teams. Well done! February – Scouts wrote and read prayers at Church Parade. Chopped logs in the poly tunnel at Gorse Hill Nature Reserve. March – Night hike and sleepover …
